meth·od
/ˈmeTHəd/
noun
a particular form of procedure for accomplishing or approaching something, especially a systematic or established one.
orderliness of thought or behavior; systematic planning or action.
Method is defined as a particular form of procedure for accomplishing or approaching something, especially a systematic or established one. Most of us have a method of doing many things in our day-to-day routines. Whether it is at work or at home, we follow certain thought patterns, exhibit certain behaviors, and follow systems we put in place as a method to accomplish daily tasks. Fly fishing is no exception to this rule. Whether it is creating the perfect fly for the occasion or spotting the perfect place to cast.
When it comes to selecting the perfect fly, there are literally thousands of fly patterns that you can buy from a fly shop, catalog, or online. Your imagination is more expansive than the offerings of these various fly companies and if you pay close attention, you will see that most professional guides are using their own creations, which gives them that competitive edge. If you don’t tie flies yourself, then you will find yourself limited to what is commercially available. That’s where Method Flies comes in. You’re free to let your imagination run wild and be creative. Adapt color schemes, substitute materials, or even change dimensions. Of course, we still offer the same flies that are commercially available as they have their place and work very well but I can also accommodate most requests which means your options are virtually limitless.
It’s simple really… The goal at Method Flies is to make your time on the water both productive and enjoyable. Each fly is hand tied using high quality products made right here in the USA. We’ll do the work so that your time will be better spent chasing a lifelong passion, in the great outdoors.
